Many years before in a theatre full with people at Patisia (a district of Athens that is), a woman’s voice with an endless lyricism fills the theatre and unites itself with the voices of the audience that sings with her.
The woman singing has filled not only the stage but also the whole theatre with her theatricality and her presence on the stage. When the song is finished, the audience is on its feet applauding and calling “Martha, we love you, Marta we love you”. We have truly never experienced that before and so that’s where and how we met Martha Frintzila. Since then her voice has become a sweet breeze that passes many times before us, smiles at us, nods us filling us with happiness.
Martha’s career since we have met her and until today is filled with boundless love and kindness towards the audience, while she is creative in many fields of art, theatre, direction, singing, teaching of acting… charming the audience, wherever she presents herself. She is without doubt a multilateral personality who knows how to transform life in art, which is something very important in our time. She is a woman with great talent, magical personality and character.

Martha Frintzila – Short CV
She was born and grew up in Eleusina. She studied music and theatre.
Since 1993, she works as a professional actor at the Greek National Theatre and at public and private theaters at performances of ancient, modern drama and musical theatre.
She works as a theatre director since 1996. She is a member of the art place “Kratiras”. Since 1999 she is director of the theatre company “Street with Trees”, with which she has presented performances of ancient and modern drama.
Apart from theatre, she works as a singer, she has published music cds and she has taken part in concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad. She has collaborated among others with: Lena Platonos, Maria Farantouri, Mode Plagal, Tania Tsanaklidou, Nikos Xydakis, Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Foivos Delhvorias, Hainides, Mixalhs Grhgoriou.
She teaches acting at the School of the Greek National Theatre.

Every Thusday and Thursday 5-6 in the afternoon songs performed by Martha will be played by the Greek Program. Loved songs, new songs, but also old songs and forgotten ones “that pass through us to continue their journey in time”, like she said to us.
